BETWEEN I385 AND 1431 ---- old Oyo began to emerge

1730--- Dahomey became tributary state of Oyo

1789 ---Abiodun, the last strong Alafin of Oyo died

21st February 1804 --- the flight of Usman Dan Fodio from Degel to Gudu {hijra}

1805 --- Death of Mongo Park in the River Niger

1820 ---Britain began to occupy Nigeria

1833 --- William Wilberforce abolish the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade
